Job Summary
The Issuing Operator enters information on the driver's license database so that customers receive correct and complete information on their driver's licenses, identification cards and instruction permits. Read, understand and interpret records of examination, driver's license, instruction permit and identification card applications.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Data entry skills sufficient to receive, review, and compare documents and accurately enter data.
  2. Skill in customer service sufficient to respond and communicate effectively; collaborate with coworkers as needed.
  3. Abilty to read, write and speak English sufficiently to understand and be understood when responding to internal and external business partners and customers

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of basic computer programs and office equipment, email and internet.
  2. Must be dependable and excellent attendance is essential.
  3. Ability to work cooperatievely with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.
  4. Graduate of one of the following public sector training programs: Project for Pride in Living, HIRED, Goodwill Easter Seals, Twin Cities Rise, Takoda, Hmong American Partnership,CLUES or similar Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) sponsored workforce development programs.

Physical Requirements
Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties

This position requires successful completion of the following:
