Job Summary
This position exists to provide office and administrative support to the Claims Division Director, Supervisor and Claims Representatives ensuring all assigned administrative duties are carried out efficiently and in a confidential manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to:
- Perform administrative support work such as ordering supplies, processing invoices, tracking expenses, facilitating mailings and researching information online
- Customer service skills sufficient to assist Veterans/customers in person, by phone, and in writing/by email with tact and diplomacy, meeting quality standards
- Word processing sufficient to use software such as Microsoft Word to create, format, edit, print and save a variety of documents including tables, charts and graphs, to type and format letters and memos, and create reports by combining and presenting data from multiple sources in an organized format
- Spreadsheet skills sufficient to use software such as Microsoft Excel to enter, compile, store and retrieve data
- Communication skills sufficient to use business grammar, spelling, and punctuation to edit reports, letters, and other documents, and to communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a veterans claims office
- Experience working with veteran population, with understanding of needs
- De-escalation skills
- Troubleshooting skills
