SalaryBarber Brothers Contracting is searching for an Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk for our corporate office in Baton Rouge, LA. The position is a great opportunity to join a professional accounting team dedicated to supporting a fast paced construction operation.
The ideal candidate will have experience performing in an accounting role in the construction industry. The candidate will have at least three years of experience multitasking and performing multiple roles within the accounting function to support our operations.
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is mainly responsible for the administrative tasks related to accounts receivable. The position is also responsible for performing daily financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
Other Duties May Include:
- Enter transactions in Construction Accounting System.
- Research and solve payment discrepancies.
- Communicate directly with customers to resolve discrepancies.
- Apply customer payments to invoices, file necessary documents.
- Processes credit card applications, payments and credits.
- Apply payments / invoices to correct internal projects or location.
- Ensure product tickets / receipts are coded correctly.
- Prepare and deliver invoices applying correct sales tax.
- Prepare daily / weekly reports for management.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 3+ Years Accounting Experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills are required.
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Viewpoint Construction Software experience a plus.
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Successful Completion of Background / Credit Check
