SportsMed Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to handle both Medical Records and Mail Processing here at our Corporate Office in Glen Rock, NJ. - Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Responds to Medical Records requests and maintains a work list in Excel
- Retrieves patient records for attorneys, insurance audits and claim payments
- Invoices attorneys and collects payment
- Organizes patient files in shared folders
- Transport mail from the post office to corporate office
- Unload and move bulk mail
- Sort out large volume of mail based on different insurance companies
- Examine contents of mail and separate checks from the explanation of benefits
- Accurately enter check data into excel sheets
- Cross-reference received checks with payments on Kareo software
- Accurately mark payments in database
- Return incorrectly addressed mail
- Stamp and staple the EOBs and deposit checks
