Job Description:
- Administer biweekly payroll processing for around 240 employees using the Paycom system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, consistently demonstrating sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Oversee the onboarding of new hires, including conducting E-Verify processes, and manage termination procedures, including COBRA.
- Conduct HR investigations and provide support in disciplinary discussions when needed.
- Collaborate with managers to prepare annual performance reviews.
- Coordinate the recruitment and interview process, extending offers and maintaining candidate status in HRIS. Send follow-up letters at the conclusion of the recruiting process.
- Organize and maintain new employee files, conduct onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit interviews.
- Manage content on the employee portal and coordinate companywide training initiatives, tracking completion of assigned modules.
- Process Leaves of Absence, Short-Term/Long-Term Disability, and Workers Comp claims through the appropriate channels.
- Maintain OSHA tracking records on spreadsheets.
- Coordinate 401K enrollment and facilitate ongoing education meetings for staff.
- Provide light accounting support as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in human resources or related field is preferred
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of HR experience and have an understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
- 1+ year of payroll experience
- Light accounting / bookkeeping skills would be great
- Software preference: Paycom
Additional Info:
- Pay: $55-65K
- Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday - Friday with a 1-hour lunch
- Location: 100% in office for the first year or so (some hybrid flexibility offered after 1 year of service) - there will be some exceptions due to weather!
