Job description

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to be part of our team as we expand our portfolio. Our newest addition, The Lofton Hotel, will be a downtown Minneapolis, full-service, $15M revenue property that is the first hotel in the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Minnesota. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for associate relations and administrative support of the Human Resources office to serve, create memories, and deliver exceptional experiences for the team members.

What we are looking for:

       Answering incoming calls and emails to the Human Resources office and direct them accordingly.

       Maintain office support for the Human Resources office including maintaining supplies and organization throughout the office.

       Provide employee relations support for the Human Resources office.

       Assist in the recruiting process by posting positions, scheduling interviews, and onboarding of new associates.

       Assist with the planning of associate meetings and events.

       Maintain filing systems for employment files.

       Maintain tracking systems for performance management, training, etc.

       Coordinate volunteer opportunities in the local community for team volunteering events.

       Assist Director of Human Resources with special projects.

What we are looking for: 

       Prior experience in Human Resources, Hospitality or Customer Service fields

       A degree in Human Resources is preferred but not required. 

       Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are required. 

       Must be available to work during regular business hours Monday through Friday.

       Ability to work independently with high level of confidence

       High degree of organization and motivation

       Ability to maintain confidentiality

       Basic knowledge of employment related issues
