The primary focus of this role is to complete monthly audits to ensure adherence to company policy and provide administrative support for department managers. To execute this role effectively, the assistant should have a high degree of situational awareness and be technically proficient; able to work independently; and be a proactive, flexible, adaptable, and self-motivated team player. The assistant will work effectively while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor. This role continually requires a high degree of autonomy while prioritizing multiple projects.
Kiewit's Northwest District primarily performs heavy civil projects specializing in earth moving, transportation, roadways, water resources, and underground utilities. We are looking for hardworking individuals with a passion for construction who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty! Our current opportunities are spread across the entire west coast including Alaska and Hawaii.
This position is based out of our Vancouver, WA office.
- Create, compile, distribute and maintain logs and reports for tracking PTO
- Perform audits of travel and expenses to ensure company policy is followed
- Manage sensitive documentation
- Provide support to HR and Safety management, including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, logs and compilation of reports
- Process expense reports and travel requests as needed
- Personally meet deadlines and contribute to a positive, safe and professional environment
- Other office duties as assigned
- 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably for a engineering or construction company.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Highly motivated with a dedicated work ethic
- Strong organization, time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Previous experience as an Executive or Administrative Assistant preferred
