Job Summary
The Network Support Center, within Compass Network Services is responsible for building, supporting, and optimizing the Compass North American network in all on-premises and cloud environments. The Network Services team works hand in hand with all technology teams within the Enterprise Architecture and Shared Services Technology (EASST) division to support the goals of Compass Technology and Compass Group.
The Network Admin is responsible for the ongoing configuration and support of the organization's network infrastructure that powers the wired, wireless, and VoIP needs of the corporate campus and remote offices. This individual with be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise level networks to support data communications.
The Network Admin works as a member of the Network Support Center and is charged to understand the goals/objectives of that team and how it supports those of the Enterprise Architecture and Shared Services Technology division.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational stability and support of our LAN, WAN, and wireless networking infrastructure to achieve targeted uptime and reliability.
- Monitor the health of all networking devices and WAN/Internet circuits leveraging tools like SolarWinds for automated alerting and reports.
- Monitor and maintain Network Service ticketing queues.
- Perform patching, upgrade, and maintenance testing/validation weekly/monthly/quarterly.
- Provide initial support for incidents related to any technology owned and supported by the Network Services group.
- Responsible for the ongoing documentation and knowledge base for technologies and platforms supported by Network Services group.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or combination of education and experience.
- Cisco Catalyst and Meraki network management.
- Firewall configuration and management
- SD-WAN technologies including Meraki.
- Experience with network protocols, such as RIP, OSPF, DNS, and NAT.
- Network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
- VoIP communications and unified communications management experience.
- Familiarly with cloud and hybrid cloud networks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and solutions-oriented thinking
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
PREFERRED
• Cisco or equivalent associate-level collaboration certification (CCNA-Collaboration)
