Job Summary: The Group Exercise Instructors must demonstrate their ability to conduct energetic, upbeat, and motivating professional fitness classes as listed on the class schedule at Fitness Evolution. Excellent knowledge of cueing techniques and the use of music to underscore the most effective movements is a must. Work in compliance with a 32-count phase, appropriate pitch, upbeat/downbeat, etc.
Primary Position Duties:
Operational Responsibilities:
1. Be inspirational and goal-oriented.
2. Greet each member by name.
3. Arrive early to class, dressed appropriately, and stay after class to answer participant’s
questions.
4. Circulate around the exercise area while instructing.
5. Actively seek member and guest needs and concerns, using this information to provide appropriate motivation.
6. Develop relationships with members and encourage the success of their personal fitness
goals to strengthen the bond with Fitness Evolution.
7. Assist in promoting other health and fitness-related programs in each class.
8. Attend all scheduled meetings and training workshops.
9. Stay current with required certifications at all times.

11. Be ready and willing to teach all classes to which you’ve been assigned. If you are unable to teach, notify the Group Exercise Leader immediately and assist with finding a substitute.
12. Ensure class intensity is appropriate and that safety guidelines are being followed.
13. Maintain awareness of Fitness Evolution services, products, daily promotions, and programs.
14. Ensure that classes are taught in a climate-appropriate atmosphere.
15. Ensure that music is appropriate for classes and age groups. Monitor the volume accordingly.
16. Introduce yourself before each class and identify the class being taught. Read any welcome messages or announcement as instructed by the Group Exercise Leader.1. Be inspirational and goal-oriented.

18. In case of emergency, notify the Group Exercise Leader or a Fitness Evolution Manager immediately.
19. Maintain a working knowledge of how to use all equipment in the studio.
20. Use the microphone at the proper volume for all classes.
21. Maintain class equipment properly and return it to the proper location.
22. Be on time for your shift.
Position Requirements:
Required Certifications: CPR and any required current certifications
Preferred Physical attributes: Excellent physical health and fitness. Must be able to lift up-to
100 pounds.
