HabitNu is a health and wellness software company that connects our unique participant-focused platform to community-based Diabetes Prevention Program providers and other organizations dedicated to delivering lifestyle change programs.

We work with participants in a remote group setting to teach individuals how to improve their diet and daily habits thereby reducing their risk of developing many chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes.

To empower these lifestyle change programs, HabitNu is seeking a remote Lifestyle Coach who is fluent in both Spanish and English languages!

The role of the Lifestyle Coach is to ensure that each participant learns to implement the principles and tools of the program in a safe and supportive environment.

Minimum qualifications for consideration:

• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must hold a technical school or bachelor's degree or higher
• Must be able to commit to a weekly schedule for 12 consecutive weeks
• Must communicate verbally and in writing in both Spanish and English languages fluently

Ideal candidates for this role:

• Holds a certificate in Lifestyle Coaching
• Understand the principles of motivational interviewing
• Experience in the fields of dietetics, nutrition, and nursing
• Experience with group coaching
• Highly organized
• Self-driven
• Empathetic and compassionate
• Client-centered
• Good with technology
• Has a proven track record of helping clients reach their goals, and;
• Has a passion for community health!

Your role

You will lead teams of up to 30 participants in a remote group setting. Expectations for this role include:

• Help participants become familiar with the HabitNu and/or Project Power app.
• Monitor participant progress from an online wellness platform.
• Encourage participants to track meals, weigh themselves, and track their physical activity.
• Lead weekly meetings by following diabetes education and lifestyle change curriculums.
• Moderate participant discussion boards.
• Communicate 1:1 with participants between meetings to ensure they are on track to meet their program goals.
• Help participants achieve program-specific benchmarks during their time in the program.
