Job Description
As an HR Coordinator with Hemisphere, you will be primarily focused on recruitment of salaried managers and supporting General Management teams with their hourly-staffing needs. In this role you will also assist in coordinating new hire onboarding, employee training, and Human Resources department initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate the recruiting process for salaried managers including posting jobs across multiple platforms, scheduling interviews, screening candidates, and sending offers.
- Work closely with the Operations Management team to determine upcoming staffing needs and hiring strategies.
- Assist Hiring Managers with their hourly-employee applicant flow while managing monthly recruiting budgets for the jobs.
- Manage, analyze, and report on both hiring metrics and placement success monthly to the HR Director.
- Assist in facilitating the onboarding process for new hires, including organizing orientation sessions, ensuring they have the onboarding materials they need, and completion of new employee paperwork.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Stay updated on recent legal changes affecting HR.
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions and meetings including arranging facilities and technology. Track participation and feedback.
- Help communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to staff and management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2 or more years in a relevant Human Resources position
- Previous experience in the service/ restaurant industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle data and information with the highest degree of confidentiality
- SHRM Certification preferred
