Payroll Coordinator II is responsible for processing payroll for all US based Patterson Companies employees within our Workday system. This position interacts directly with our employee, manager, and HR populations. A successful candidate will have strong people skills, great attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
Responsibilities:

Payroll Knowledge:
Recognize and troubleshoot issues with earning and deduction setups, employee data inconsistencies and taxation issues
Act as the first line of contact for all employee wage and tax inquiries
Payroll Processing:
Monitor and respond to incoming e-mails through the payroll e-mail inbox
Assist employees and managers in accurate and timely entry of worked time.
Enter adjustments for employee wage and tax data with proper authorization and approvals
Audit payroll results prior to completion of the payroll cycle.
Prepare and audit payroll reports on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis while making corrections as needed
GL Processing:
Review payroll journal entries created by Workday for accuracy and completeness.
Reporting Duties:
Prepare and disseminate payroll reports for Finance, HR, Benefits, and other parties
Customer Service Skills:
Assist employees, managers, and HR in understanding and resolving any issues with an employee’s payroll results.
Load journal entries into SAP system.
Required Qualifications
Basic accounting skills, Microsoft Excel and Word experience
At least 2 year accounting degree or equivalent experience
Strong math ability
General ledger knowledge helpful
