This is a full-time onsite position with a daily schedule of 8:00am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities:Data Management:
- Maintain accurate employment records for all staff and faculty.
- Process and verify data accuracy of all employee status change requests within the HRIS system including annual changes for staff and union members.
- Ensure that personnel files for faculty and staff are created and maintained and volunteer records are created.
- Utilize reporting to maintain and clean data within the HRIS system.
- Partner with payroll to timely process data to meet payroll deadlines and conduct simultaneous audits for each payroll taking necessary corrective action.
- Assist in moving candidates through the hiring process in the applicant tracking system.
- Assist in the collection and tracking of other data as needed.
Customer Service:
- Provide welcoming, exemplary service to staff, faculty, students and other visitors to the Human Resources department.
- Promptly reply to a variety of initial inquiries that may be related to benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition, student employment, or general campus life.
- Serve as a point of contact for the department.
Compliance:
- Manage I-9 processing and records, including electronic system, audits, reverifications and troubleshooting.
- Complete federal and state labor reporting.
- Submits background check requests as needed.
- Coordinate BCA background, including supplies, training, fingerprinting, and billing.
- Maintain labor law posters, both physical and online.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative coordination for staff and faculty enrichment events (i.e. January Thaw and Spring Bloom).
- Maintain HR department website, ensuring that content is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support communication for HR events and activities.
- Coordinate invoices.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate meetings/events as requested.
Other Responsibilities:
- Participate as an active member of the HR Team.
- Provide back-up support to colleagues.
- Participate in campus activities and events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1-3 years of previous experience working in a Human Resources department or any similar combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills. Positive and personable demeanor.
- Strong attention to details
- Knowledge of commonly-used Human Resources concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Good problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects on concurrent timelines.
- Highly organized and efficient, skilled multi-tasker. Good time management skills.
- A strong respect for confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things. Adapts to change in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Basic Proficiency with HRIS tools, Google Business Suite, and Microsoft Office.
