Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties for the Department of Health & Human Services, i.e., Human Services, Senior Services, Adult Day Care and Accounting.
- Greets the public, directs callers and visitors to the appropriate resource or county division, and provides information regarding specific or general county services.
- Screens all citizens requesting assistance from Human Services for eligibility, distributes application packets to eligible applicants, tracks applications and assigns submitted applications to appropriate Case Manager.
- Supports Department Director as needed.
- Reviews and supports contracts for Human Services and Senior Services as needed.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks as assigned such as: processing incoming and outgoing mail, logging cash receipts, updating the Flagler County Social Services Directory, updating forms, data entry including tracking visitor and call-in counts, inventory of office supplies, maintaining conference room schedule, preparing, and posting closing signs at all department sites, update department webpages as needed.
- Attends Affordable Housing Advisory Committee meetings and takes meeting minutes.
- Provides support for activities within the department such as outreach activities.
- Attends training and meetings as required.
- Checks and maintains office equipment, i.e., shredder maintenance, making service calls for all copiers.
- Formally requests services from Facilities or IT departments as needed.
- Maintains lobby areas and public computer areas, updates resource materials available to visitors.
- Performs related work as required.
- During emergencies, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two or more years of experience in responsible administrative/clerical and customer relations work.
- Experience in the practical application of HIPAA regulations and ensuring customer confidentiality.
- Experience with database systems to include data entry and overall system operations.
- Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver's License.
