TheCommercial Vehicle Division (CVD) is primarily responsible for promoting the safe travel of commercial vehicles on state highways through education and enforcement. This is accomplished by the use of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers (CVEOs) and CVD Troopers conducting driver and vehicle inspections and enforcing size, weight and load laws.
Duties
The incumbent will independently perform complex administrative duties for the CVD Region 3 and 4 Lieutenants, supervisors, and enforcement personnel, as well as the Tow and Wrecking Program personnel.
Our new teammate will be able to:
- Provide administrative support to the Region 3 and 4 Lieutenants for planning and coordinating annual leadership events for both CVD and MCSD.
- Assist with arrangements for venues, lodging, and meals for leadership and in-service events.
- Maintain appointment calendars for the division lieutenants.
- Maintain record keeping and filing systems for the division.
- Schedule and attend meetings with and on behalf of the division lieutenants.
- Prepare, complete, and process expense vouchers and voucher distribution.
- Assist with troubleshooting any issues with vendors and services provided.
- Handle training and travel arrangements for division staff.
- Assist Tow & Wrecking Program personnel with proofreading and formatting letters.
- Prepare, track, and maintain records of notices sent via certified mail to the companies.
- Prepare documents and coordinate scheduling of Tow and Wrecking Program adjudication hearings with the Assistant Attorney General and Office of Administrative Hearings.
- Update and review the Tow and Wrecking Program Procedure Manual.
- Assist with the scheduling, coordination, and development of topics for the annual Tow and Wrecking In-Service.
- Coordinate and track all equipment requests and general purchases for daily operations of Regions 3 & 4 and Tow and Wrecking Program personnel.
- Track assignments, plan, and prioritize work on behalf of the Lieutenants.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver's License.
- Must have two years of professional experience working in an office, secretarial, or general administrative position.
