Accounts Payable Specialist
Western States Fire Protection is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its Accounts Payable team at the corporate headquarters in Centennial, CO. *This is not a remote position. Occasional overtime may be required throughout the year, particularly during month, quarter, and year-end closing. *
The salary range for this position is $24 - $28 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vendors, branches, and AP Coordinators as needed to provide prompt issue resolution.
- Present a customer service focused attitude while building/maintaining branch and vendor relationships.
- Deliberate follow-up and follow-through on outstanding invoices and vendor disputes.
- Track AP invoices utilizing a paperless
- Verify AP invoices through two-way match by comparing invoice and purchase order
- Perform accurate detailed data entry and posting of AP invoices within accounting
- Review and resolve posted invoice discrepancies.
- Strict adherence to policies and procedures to ensure SOX
- Monthly vendor statement
- Maintain thorough
- Active participation in meetings, coaching sessions, and group conversations.
- Adjust to updated systems, processes, and procedures as
- Assist AP Team Lead with special projects as assigned.
- Assist with additional AP tasks and projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3 years Accounts Payable/similar experience
- Construction and/or job costing experience preferred.
- Excellent time management, organization, and interpersonal
- Team player that operates well in a dynamic team
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to grasp new technology and software
- Basic understanding of Microsoft products including Teams, Outlook, Word, OneDrive, and
- Willing to pass a post-offer drug screen and background
