Job Description
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team!
At CPC, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our business forward. The Finance department keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP Specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and submit invoices to proper internal approver.
- Match invoices to purchase orders as necessary.
- Perform invoice data entry to ERP Accounts Payable module.
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
- Maintain vendor invoice files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Generate purchase orders for all new vendor contracts.
- Process weekly payments in a timely manner via ACH, wires, and paper checks.
- Address and resolve vendor questions and issues.
- Collect vendor data, such as W9 forms and banking details, and enter in ERP for all vendors.
- Manage annual 1099 reconciliation and submission process.
- Assist in streamlining and improving the Accounts Payable processes.
- Support other accounting and finance team members as needed.
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounting roles
- Strong mathematical skills
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Superb time management skills and detail orientation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
- Experience with accounting software and online platforms
Note: Viable applicants will be required to pass a background and education verification check.
In-office Presence: 100% of time
Targeted Compensation: $23/hr - $26/hr
