Accounts Payable Clerk

**Position Overview:**

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist our finance department in managing Accounts Payable functions. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing support to the finance team as needed. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, ideal for students or individuals looking to gain valuable experience in accounting.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

2. Verify invoice details, including quantities, prices, and terms, to ensure accuracy of billing.

3. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a prompt manner.

4. Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date Accounts Payable records, including filing and documentation.

5. Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice inquiries and payment status.

6. Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

7. Provide general administrative support to the finance department, such as data entry and filing.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent required; pursuing or completed an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.

- Previous experience in accounting or Accounts Payable

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, QuickBooks Online

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
