Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nurse Supervisor supports the management of the PACU to provide a climate optimal for the provision of individualized, goal-directed nursing care that supports the mission, vision and values of Medical City Healthcare and the philosophy of the Nursing Department and promotes, advocates for and supports the nursing staff's primary commitment to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family or community. The Nurse Supervisor of PACU is accountable for their practice and care coordination. The Nurse Supervisor is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence-based practices. 

This Position May Be Eligible for a Sign-On-Bonus

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of a professional school of nursing required. BSN required, MSN preferred
• Texas RN license required, or compact licensure
• National specialty certification in area of practice, or plan to achieve within one year of hire
• 2 years hospital nursing experience in area of clinical specialty (PACU)
• ACLS certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
