Accounts Payable Clerk

Sierra Nevada Cheese Company is seeking a friendly, reliable, and organized individual for a position as Accounts Payable clerk.

About the Role:

As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will work closely with the Accounting Supervisor providing administrative and clerical support. Complete payments and control expenses by verifying and reconciling invoices.

Responsibilities:

· Receive & process invoices ensuring proper recording of AP/ AR transactions working within Sage (ERP system)

· Prepare check runs and ensure all necessary information is attached for final approval

· Facilitate payment of vendors, resolve discrepancies, and identify discount opportunities

· Document Filing working within Paperless Software

· Provide back-up support for Accounts Receivable

· Provide back-up customer service/receptionist duties including answering multi-line phone system

· Miscellaneous clerical support tasks as needed.

Applicant must possess the following characteristics and experience:

· Multi-tasker and self-starter

· Attention to detail a must

· Organizational skills

· Work well with deadlines

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Primarily excel.

· Must have knowledge of accounting software. (ie Quick Books, Sage)

· Must have previous office experience; AP/ AR experience preferred.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
