Assistant Administrative Professional
Child Support
Hourly Pay Rate $19.49 - $29.24
Closing Date February 29, 2024, or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions
Job Summary: Provide clerical support to the Order Establishment unit to ensure compliance with federal regulations, state laws and mandates. Draft documents, schedule court hearings, process legal documents, e-file document into OnBase. Prepare documents in KIDS, Microsoft Word and Excel programs and will also act as a lead worker.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex/varied clerical tasks with a high degree of accuracy, including uploading and downloading of information from database application and drafting standard legal documents/reports using Word, Excel or KIDS
  • Set up document formats, verify accuracy and completeness of data, documents and forms before they are entered processed or filed.
  • Maintain complex or specialized records, files and reports. Determine next appropriate action to be taken and process cases accordingly within legal timeframes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare motions, orders, court notices, under general direction of supervisor and paralegals. Assemble pleadings packets and deliver to service of process unit.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Years of Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • One year of moderately complex office clerical work experience
  • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Knowledge and/or Experience:
  • Work experience in a Child Support or family support setting, experience in the use of KIDS, CARES and WIKIDS software systems preferred.
  • Work experience with database management preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities:
The ability to work with limited supervision, prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Contact with employees or others, primarily at a routine level involving basic information exchange. Contact with peers and others involving explanation of information (these contacts may be within or outside department or division) and the gathering of factual information; includes the communication of sensitive or confidential information. Frequent external contact gathering information, answering queries and/or asking assistance. External contact to maintain a continuing external working relationship with individuals or organizations. Read, write and comprehend instructions, reports, memos and short correspondence. Generally diversified and moderately difficult work that requires judgement in the adaptation and interpretation of established practices and procedures to meet problems and situations to which application is not clearly defined. Proficiency in related computer and software applications.
