Are you looking for a fun and rewarding spring and summer job? Join the EAA Team to help provide administrative support for the Chapters Department and SportAir Workshops. this position starts mid-April and end mid-August.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative support to AirVenture Presentations and Workshops group, including but not limited to, working with presenter submissions, scheduling presentations, entering data into Presentations Content Management System, collecting, organizing presenter submissions, corresponding with presenters via email, phone and other means, proofing AirVenture Schedule, collecting data and producing reports on AV Presentations.
- Assist with execution of AV Presentations and Workshop programs at AirVenture.
- Establish, organize, and maintain related records and files.
- Embraces and supports the EAA mission and performs safe practices in the workplace and aviation environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma and at least 2 years of customer service and/or administrative experience.
- Ability to work independently, work under pressure of deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and pay close attention to details for accuracy.
- Ability to relate and communicate effectively and tactfully with employees, volunteers, EAA members and the public.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills. Excellent editing skills with respect to grammar and punctuation, and ability to arrange material into balanced and comprehensive copy.
- Intermediate knowledge, understanding and application of computer technology and systems such as MS Office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical office setting. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Preparation for AirVenture or other events may require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods of time while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and push and pull motions.
