Central Florida Freethought Community (CFFC) is a local non-profit community organization made up of Humanists, atheists, and other non-religious people. Position Summary
An organized and reliable Administrative Assistant is needed to complete numerous administrative functions. This opportunity is for a part-time employee working remotely for 20 hours a week with a flexible schedule. Tasks will be performed remotely within 20 miles of Orlando using a laptop and peripheral computer equipment provided by the CFFC. Exceptional candidates residing up to 50 miles away will be considered.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with group and page management on social media, including Meetup, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Familiarity with G-Suite: Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Forms, and Sheets.
- Ability to learn Constant Contact, Squarespace, Adobe Creative Suite and other applications through self-directed learning.
- Must have reliable transportation for occasional local travel.
- A positive attitude and mindset are critical to success in this role.
- Self starter who can work independently on various tasks simultaneously.
- Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills for use with manager, volunteers, supporters, event participants, and others.
- Coachable; excited to learn; strong attention to detail; good time management and organizational skills.
Duties Include
- Communicate with Meetup members, email subscribers, volunteers, and others by phone, direct message, text message, and email.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule and moderate comments on social media platforms.
- Assist in development and execution of email marketing campaigns.
- Organize, manage, and distribute files and other digital assets.
- Maintain contact databases for donors, volunteers, event participants, media contacts, aligned secular organizational partners, and others.
- Schedule and complete submission of required corporate forms.
- Occasional in-person support at local events and work-related errands in the Orlando area.
- Update and edit the organization’s website.
- Track opportunities for collaboration with allied organizations.
- Assist the CFFC Treasurer and Bookkeeper with receipts, invoices, and financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of agendas and minutes.
- Tally and report volunteer hours on service projects.
- Receive and track establishment clause questions to closure.
- Maintain merchandise and supplies inventories, anticipate needs, place orders, verify receipt, and place materials into inventory.
- Assist with administration of new projects and initiatives as directed.
