Acuet RCM has an exciting opportunity within our Revenue Cycle Team for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The candidate selected for this on-site position will play a critical role in building positive relationships with clients, patients, insurance companies, and staff. Job Responsibilities include:
Insurance follow-up, claim denial resolution, claim corrections, reconciliation, refunds/credit balances, and customer service in accordance with company protocols, with an emphasis on maximizing client/patient satisfaction and profitability
Reviewing claim information to ensure accuracy and provide feedback to the clinical and non-clinical areas regarding claim errors and/or denials
Providing cross coverage for areas not primarily assigned as required to ensure efficient and professional operations
Working all assigned cases using either workflow management or external reports
Meeting or exceeding productivity requirements to ensure timely reimbursement
Following up on all assigned returned claims, correspondence, denials, account reconciliations and rebills to achieve maximum reimbursement in a timely manner
Providing feedback to Management regarding claims issues of incorrect and/or missing information, which includes failure to get authorization at registration and reimbursement discrepancies
Reviewing and resolving of all assigned payer correspondence
Qualifications:
- One year of healthcare billing/collections experience
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Experience in MS Word and Excel
- Proficiency with one or more assigned receivables' management system modules including but not limited to insurance collections, account receivables reports, AR analysis and patient information inquiry
- Health care terminology surrounding medical diagnostic and procedural coding
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Highly motivated and works well in a team environment
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
