The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments that come into the company. Key functions include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and e-mailing monthly invoices to customers
- Posting cash receipts to broker accounts
- Organizing and e-filing deposit receipts
- Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
- Monthly audit on delinquent accounts to reduce aging debt
- Reconciling cash receipts and deposits
- Receive, record, and bank checks and wires
- Analyzing financial records for accuracy
- Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, receivable, write-offs and direct collections
- Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records
- Preparing and e-mailing of past due statements
- Work with the collections department to review accounts/client payments
- Prepare requested installment plan information
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- Four (4) year College Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting-related experience
- Insurance industry related experience a plus
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
