WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The primary focus of the Accounts Receivable Clerk is to post payments from customers to their customer account.

• Process all lock box, EFT, live checks, and credit card payments received from customers.
• Process offsets and write-offs received from the Credit Department and branches regarding customer accounts.
• Check for appropriate approval and scan on to write off or offset.
• Process Job Queue requests received from the Credit Department and branches.
• Reconcile bank deposits on Daily Bank Report received from Accounting.
• Reconcile credit card payments and investigate any discrepancies from branches to Daily Bank Report.
• Follow-up on declined credit cards transactions.
• Bank trips to make deposits and change as needed.
• Follow-up with the Credit Department on payment discrepancies.
• Process all miscellaneous payments.
• Assist Credit Department, branch personnel or sales personnel with any problems involving customer payments.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts involving customer payments, such as batch transfers, credit card accounts and cash box account.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• High school diploma or GED certification, including English speaking ability.
• 2+ years Accounts Receivable or accounting clerical experience a plus.
• Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
