Job Summary
This position is responsible for research and resolution of customer deductions within the corporate Deduction Management system. The Deductions Specialist works with Business Analysts, Brokers, Customer Service and Distribution.
Responsibilities
- Review customer deductions and categorize appropriate codes.
- Research short payments due to shipping, pricing, freight, compliance, and promotional discounts
- Validate the information collected, and process deductions according to established procedures.
- Identify invalid claims and submit repayment requests via Self-Service portals for big-box stores
- Communicate with Business Analysts and Sales regarding deductions or chargebacks.
- Identify, prepare, and communicate repay requests against invalid deduction.
- Maintain and provide credit related paperwork to sales and other internal teams.
- Request credit investigations from credit reporting partners
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, and/or equivalent work experience required.
- Previous experience with on-line A/R and/or Deduction Management systems and portals
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle high volume virtual paperwork, maintaining accurate and detailed data, and must be able to meet deadlines.

- Strong Internal and External Professional Communication skills required.
- Accounts Receivable and/or Deduction experience preferred.
- Strong math skills required.
- Proficient with Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
- JDE experience preferred.
