Accounts Payable Clerk I

• Review, Scan, and process invoices for assigned locations.
• Process vendor invoices - validate vendor payment information and code documents to correct office and general ledger account code.
• Receive original invoices - submit and monitor payments.
• Audit supporting documents to ensure proper approvals, general ledger account coding and payment support is included before processing invoice.
• Research and respond to inquiries (internal and external) regarding invoice/check status, as well as inquiries that require additional explanation or copies of supporting documentation.
• Analyze and resolve problems related to the payment process.
• Maintain the filing system of all processed documents in an organized manner.

• Must demonstrate numerical aptitude, ability to perform detailed work.
• Ten‐key by touch required.
• Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must have ability to work independently & thrive in a fast‐paced team office environment.
• Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Accurately process 1000 to 1125 invoices per week.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Be well organized.

• May also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

• Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, possible overtime.

• Minimum of two (2) years Accounts Payable experience processing both general and inventory related invoices.
• Must have experience working in a high-volume office where meeting deadlines is critical.
• Previous experience with the Microsoft Dynamics AX financial modules is desirable, but not required.
• Experience in retail / grocery industry is desirable, but not required.

He soon expanded the business to a second location and brought his four brothers into the business. They offered specialty and traditional items customers couldn’t find anywhere else: cut-to-order Latin-style meats (ranchera, diesmillo, lomo de res), spices, fresh fruit and produce, delicious prepared foods, pan dulce made daily, plus everything else you would expect from a traditional grocery store. Fast forward to today where Vallarta has expanded its offerings to include a juice and aquas frescas bar, tortilleria, bakery (panaderia), a cevicheria and more.
