Senior Accountant

What We Are Looking For

Horth Consultingis excited to be hiring a Full-Time Senior Accountant, with an expected time commitment of 40 hours per week, to join its team with a focus to work on one of their client’s small businesses. As a Senior Accountant with Horth Consulting you will be responsible for working closely with the client and helping manage the financial aspects of their business. This role is expected to be in the Manhattan, NY office 3x per week and the other 2 days can be remote.

Your Specific Responsibilities Will Include

· Maintain accurate and up to date financial record for the company

· Perform general bookkeeping duties, including recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, managing accounts payables, accounts receivables and payroll

· Prepare and process invoices, payments and change orders

· Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

· Manage cash flow forecasting process

· Generate financial reports and statements for management review

· Office manager duties: basic HR / new employee onboarding

Additional Responsibilities May Include

· Assisting in tax filing requirements

· Provide necessary support regarding all financial system integrations

· Manage company contracts with vendors, third parties and banks.

· Partner with CPA firms and assist with their requests as needed.

· Facilitate fixed asset reporting.

Requirements

· Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles

· Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

· Ability to manage multiple projects / jobs at once

· Self-starter who takes initiative and can be considered reliable to hit time deliverable requirements
