We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join us at our Long Island City HQ! This role is hybrid (minimum 3 days in office) and will be responsible for daily, weekly, and fiscal period accounting tasks. Under the guidance of our Controller, you will substantiate accounting system outputs, familiarize yourself with Sally's business lines, as well as work on projects to add further granularity to our reporting.

What you'll do
- Bank reconciliations for multiple entities
- General ledger account reconciliations
- Accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets
- Computing and filing sales taxes in multiple states
- Execute expense reporting processes for the business
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting
- Assist with the preparation of any reporting and audits
- Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
- Adhere to policies and procedures
What we look for
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Netsuite proficiency required
- 2+ years public accounting or similar experience
- 3+ years of combined experience in accounting, finance and business
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience creating financial statements and general ledgers
- Client-side audit experience required
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Team player with interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time-management skills
- CPA preferred

Compensation range: $65,000 - $95,000
