About Me & My Home

My name is Lindsay and my husband and I own a construction company in New Braunfels. We have 2 kids ages 12 and 15 and 2 dogs. We live a fun, fast paced, busy, crazy life! I am a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University (BBA in Marketing) and I got my MBA from TCU in 2007. My husband is a 1998 graduate of Texas A&M University as well (BS Animal Science). I have 15 years of professional experience in Marketing and now I serve as the Controller for our family business.

My daughter Emma is in 6th grade and rides horses competitively across the country. My son Cade shows animals in FFA and is on a shotgun shooting team. Personality wise, we are a warm, happy group of people and I would say I'm relatively easy to work for. I believe in treating people fairly and with respect. I communicate openly and I build relationships with people easily. We are a Christian family and I believe in taking care of our staff who take care of us. Our home is busy and there is a lot of coming and going. It is a fun place to work!

We need help with "ALL THE THINGS". I'm really looking for someone that can be an extension of our family and someone that can get inside my head and learn the way I like things to be done. I love to work with happy, energetic, motivated people. My main expectation is that the person in the role can jump in, handle a lot of different things at one time, communicate well, and help me make our hectic life easier. My end goal is to get help so that I can spend more time on the things that matter - my family, time with my kids, running our business, and my own personal health.

Job Description:

Seeking a Part Time Personal assistant approximately 15-20 hours per week to help a busy mom and business owner stay organized.

Personal assistant duties include:

At My Home:

- Laundry

- Kitchen cleaning/organization

- Meal prep

- Overall home organization/tidying up

- Help with 2 dogs (might include walks, feeding, brushing, washing bedding)

- Help with travel unpacking & maintaining closet organization

- Putting up and taking down Christmas decorations & seasonal decor

- Backyard, pool and outdoor kitchen help (in warm months)

- Keeping refrigerators & pantry stocked with drinks, condiments, essentials, etc.

- Help maintaining family shopping lists (groceries, Sams, Costco, etc.)

- Garage organization

- Gift wrapping & special projects

- Assistance with online shopping & research

- Assistance with spreadsheets, scanning documents, paying bills, opening mail

Away From Home (All personal mileage is reimbursed):

- Retrieving business & personal mail

- Grocery Shopping

- Errand running

- Dry Cleaning

- Car washing/detailing

- Taking Amazon & other returns to UPS Store/FedEx

- Light cleaning/preparation of our boat at Canyon Lake Marina (warm months)

- Assistance with projects at our ranch located in San Marcos, TX

- Running one of my kids to an appointment if I am unavailable

- Trips to Austin or San Antonio as needed for special projects

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
