Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities and dementia. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients. This is a paid position that requires experience in home care, direct support, and patient care.

Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings
- Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Provide dementia care, including memory stimulation activities and maintaining a safe environment

Experience:
- Previous experience in home care or nursing home settings is preferred
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is highly desirable
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies effectively

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to Relocate:

• Huntsville, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
