Job Overview:
Overhead Door Company of Salinas is hiring for a full-time position in Salinas, CA reporting to the ODC Salinas Operations Manager, with dotted line reporting to the Controller. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience, with a background in accounting and/or bookkeeping in a sales or construction environment. We are looking for a reliable, organized and detail oriented individual able to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Creating new work orders, purchase orders, assisting in managing the service schedule, daily invoicing, contract/project documentation, accounts payable, posting cash receipts, and any other accounting or business tasks required at the local branch.
Overseeing accounts receivable at the local branch.
Summarizing weekly timecards for submitting to payroll department, including prevailing wage calculations, and submitting employee time off requests to payroll department
General office management, including ordering office supplies
Skills:
Background in general accounting and bookkeeping processes
Preferred Associate’s Degree in Accounting, or completion of accounting coursework
Excellent with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook
Financial accounting system experience with SBT, ACCPAC or Sage Pro preferred
Good financial acumen, financial analysis and diagnosis skills
Ability to multi-task on multiple projects
Excellent customer service, office management, and interpersonal skills
