Job Description

The HR Analyst will play a crucial role in providing support to the HR Business Partner team, employees, and managers in the Verisk Underwriting Solutions business unit. The role involves a combination of administrative and analytical HR responsibilities and is accountable for effectively providing operational support on a range of HR matters, including talent acquisition, talent management, HR data, day-to-day operational activities, and ad-hoc projects/assignment. This role is based in our Jersey City, NJ location where we have a flexible hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week in-office and 2-3 days can be remote.

About the Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • Support the Verisk Underwriting Solutions HR team on day-to-day operations, projects, and special initiatives.
  • Provide administrative assistance and contribute to the implementation of HR initiatives and programs (for ex. compensation, immigration, performance management)
  • Partner closely with Verisk-wide HR Centers of Excellence
  • Process data changes including promotions, manager changes, transfers, salary changes, etc.
  • Update, maintain, and ensure accuracy of HRIS data
  • Provide operational and administrative support for critical HR systems including our payroll, performance management, and talent acquisition systems
  • Provide support to managers and employees by answering general HR requests or questions
  • Prepare reports and presentations on HR related metrics
  • Understand all Verisk policies and ensure compliance
  • Be an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
  • Support ad-hoc HR needs
Qualifications

About You and How You Can Excel in This Role

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, or related field

Preferred: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or other HR professional certifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting a broad range of HR initiatives
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain careful attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and manage multiple responsibilities against deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills. Ability to establish credibility/rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Outstanding written, listening, and verbal communication. Ability to adjust communication style based on the audience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare executive-ready materials, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
