Join MFI Construction, Inc. as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager and play a pivotal role in our team's success. This position combines bookkeeping expertise with office management responsibilities in a dynamic construction environment. You'll oversee financial transactions, manage office operations, and ensure smooth administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial activities including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare regular financial reports for management review.
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax filings and audits.
- Oversee office operations, including managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities maintenance.
- Assist in HR-related tasks such as employee onboarding paperwork and maintaining personnel records.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure seamless communication and support across departments.
- Implement and maintain efficient office procedures to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Provide general administrative support to the executive team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping and office management experience.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of HR procedures and basic understanding of relevant employment laws is a plus.
- Relevant certification or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
