Bookkeeper/Accountant - Freelance

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented freelance Accountant for part-time work. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting practices, is proficient in various accounting software, and has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant regulations
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making processes
- Provide support during audits by gathering necessary documentation and answering inquiries

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quicken, QuickBooks, or similar programs
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 3 per week
