Accountant/Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled bookkeeper-accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Duties:
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely payment of invoices
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Stay up-to-date on changes in financial regulations and best practices
- Assist with tax preparation and filing

Skills:
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial accounting principles
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of financial concepts such as debits, credits, and accruals
- Experience in public accounting or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with securities laws and regulations is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
