Keeping track of nearly all the company's financial information, the bookkeeper is an integral part of our business.
The Bookkeeper position is a detail-oriented job, requiring excellent organization skills, meticulous record keeping, and strong computer skills. Knowledge of Accounting is necessary. Quickbooks Enterprise, Excel and Epicor POS knowledge is a plus but can be trained on the job. To be successful, this person will need to be adept at prioritizing tasks, both for their normal flow of duties and for those requesting information.
Requirements:
-High school diploma/GED with one year of coursework, degree OR experience in bookkeeping
-One (1) year of QuickBooks experience
Preferences:
-QuickBooks Enterprise experience
Employer Notes:
- Employer conducts a drug test before the first day of employment, the test does screen for Marijuana
-The person in this position will work two to three days per week 16 to 24 hours. Due to the nature of this business, typically this employee will work three days per week from late winter to mid-summer and at the end of the calendar year and work two days per week during the fall and winter.
- Employer is flexible on which weekdays this employee will work.
-This position requires a very high level of computer use.
Job Duties:
-Enter all bills into QuickBooks as received, verifying accuracy, dating, and pricing compared to merchandise receipt information, or normal billing cycles
-Do daily reconciliation of credit card and checking account transactions to keep up-to-date balance information
-Fully reconcile checking and credit card accounts at month-end
-Maintain business personal property/asset inventory tracking for annual reporting purposes
-Maintain all licensing through appropriate agencies for example vehicles (ODOT, DMV), Business names, Plant Import License, etc.
-Monthly reporting to ODOT of vehicle mileage for use tax
-Attend manager meetings for note-taking and being kept apprised of departments' financial status and upcoming changes
-Perform Class split steps to adjust each payroll to correct classes for manager tracking
-Maintain clear, accurate, easily utilized vendor files in cabinet & archives.
-Provide accurate reports, mid-month, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end for use by managers, Owner/President, accountant, and financial institutions
-Maintain office supply stock of sales & credit card receipt paper, delivery slips, pens, printer paper, etc.
-Coordinate repair of office equipment as necessary
-Back up phone assistance for all incoming calls
-All other duties as assigned
Pay and Benefits:
- $19.50 per hour
- Paid vacation is available 90 days after start, retirement plan after 1 year
