Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles and is proficient in using accounting software.
Duties:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process payroll and ensure accurate calculation of wages and deductions
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Monitor cash flow and manage bank reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Xero)
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Skills:
- Payroll processing
- 10-key typing proficiency
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero)
- General ledger reconciliation
