Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for answering calls and questions, bookkeeping, filing, and keeping the West Lafayette Police Department (WLPD) office organized and efficient.

- The desire to improve relationships between the WLPD, citizens, and agencies across the state.
- Professionalism and tactfulness when representing the WLPD and the City of West Lafayette.
- The ability to keep files and records accurate and organized, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as accurate attention to detail.
- Demonstrated computer skills in the areas of Microsoft Office, website management, and social media platforms.
- A minimum of a high school diploma and five (5) years of experience working in an office or college coursework in a related field.
Compensation and Benefits
The City of West Lafayette offers a competitive salary and benefits program. The salary range is $41,450 - $55,260 (placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications and experience).
