RATE OF PAY: $38,000/annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package to include membership in the Arizona State Retirement System

Under general supervision, performs administrative work of moderate difficulty in routine or special project work; performs related duties as assigned.

This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbents of this class.Develops and implements procedures, operations, and special projects; prepares and coordinates reports; maintains records; coordinates departmental activities; analyzes departmental financial or project data and makes recommendations; supervises staff as assigned.An Associate's Degree in business administration, public relations, statistics, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience; must possess and maintain a Arizona driver's license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Considerable knowledge of:
- principles and practices of office administration, management, and supervision;
- software applications within the Microsoft Office Suite;
- organizing and managing complex operations with attention to detail and accuracy
- staff research work, business English, and report writing.
- records management operations;
- statistical surveying techniques and their applications;
- guidelines, regulations, and statutes affecting the department;
- word processors, microcomputer systems, and other office machines.

Work is primarily performed under general supervision. Incumbent generally performs work in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting majority of time; walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability and creative problem-solving skills are important.
