Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. If you are a motivated self-starter IIR is a great company for you. In this role, the Accounts Payable Clerk will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Job Qualifications:

• Review and process all incoming purchase orders, invoices and expense reports for accuracy to be processed.
• Code and process invoice expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
• Update and maintain vendor data.
• Ensure that all monthly expense invoices are received/entered prior to month end
• Research and respond to invoice / payment inquiries.
• Process check runs, file checks and related backup,
• Perform data entry and administrative duties, ensuring all accounting activities comply with Company internal controls, policies and procedures as directed by supervisor.
• 1099 experience is a plus
• Support other accounting functional areas as needed.

Experience: At least one year of experience in Accounts Payable is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a College or University in Accounting, Finance, or Other Related Field is preferred If lacking higher education degree, then a combination of formal training and experience is acceptable High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
