We are looking for a new Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in New York City! Your #1 goal is to manage the full order-to-cash process and maintain accurate records for our US market. You get to have the full ownership of reconciling bank and Accounts Receivable balances, as well as resolving billing disputes and performing credit checks.
We’re looking for a proactive Accounts Receivable professional with exquisite attention to detail. You will be an essential part of our global Finance team based in Amsterdam (your team consists of 4 Accounts Receivable specialists and a Financial Controller), while working together with the US country team in New York City. You will report to the Financial Controller who is based in Amsterdam. This is a unique opportunity to join a revolutionary team making serious impact in the chocolate industry!
What you will do:
- Manage the entire order-to-cash process for the US market. You are the one maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable files and records to make sure all contact information is correct and up to date.
- Investigate and resolve queries and billing disputes timely.
- Create and analyse on aging reports. You provide data and reporting to keep key contacts up to speed on the AR status.
- Perform periodic credit checks with existing and new accounts.
- Daily communication with external and internal stakeholders. This includes external payable customers and fellow Tony’s, such as account and country managers, operations, finance and accounting colleagues, and peer Accounts Receivable specialists across markets.
- Continuously innovate and improve Accounts Receivable and billing processes.
- Experience in full Accounts Receivable processes (order-to-cash). Your expertise of the chargebacks processes in the CPG industry (ideally with accounts such as Walmart, Target, and Amazon) will help us raise the bar even further!
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, credit, and accounting principles. Proficiency in cash and bank applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel. Solid organization and time management skills. You have a high sense of accountability, urgency, and integrity.
- We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other on average 3 days a week in our (brand new) New York City office. More is fine, too!
- Believe wholeheartedly in Tony’s mission. You live our core values: outspoken, willful, entrepreneurial and makes you smile.
The salary range for this role is $72,000 - $90,000 per year.
