Job Summary
As the Associate Administrative Assistant you will work under direct supervision, you will provide general administrative support for an individual, group of professions, department, program or other administrative functions. You will be the first point of contact for guests. You will draft routing correspondences, schedule appointments, organize and maintain paper and electronic files, or provide information to callers and visitors. You will also assist with various other support functions as needed.
We will provide extensive on-job training for most of the responsibilities except of basic computer skills like emails, using MS Word and Excel. You will be working with another employee from Undergraduate Student office and with your supervisor.
What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- High School Degree or GED
- Minimum of some experience in an administrative support, customer service, or clerical role
Skills Needed:
- Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Computer and related software skills to include Word, Outlook, Internet, etc. Typing, drafting, filing, and data entry skills
