Accounts Payable Clerk

Description:

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for essential Accounts Payable functions that will support our project team in the areas of Accounts Payable, accounts receivable, and financial accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to Accounts Payable and project invoicing.
• Maintain proper cost coding for invoices in accounting software.
• Assist in the reconciliation of vendor accounts.
• Assist in receiving payment from vendors.
• Maintain historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts in accounting system.
• Assist in credit card entries and reconciliation into the accounting system.
• Performs data entry associated with Accounts Payable.
• Assist with providing supporting documentation for audits.
• Assist CFO and other accounting department members on special projects as needed.
• Responsible for vendor setup and maintenance.
• Effectively communicate with vendors and applicable staff members to resolve outstanding invoice issues and answer questions related to accounting policies and procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Extremely organized, detail oriented, ability to prioritize, and meet specific deadlines
• One to two years accounting experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
