This position is responsible for performing variety of tasks related to the accounting/invoicing function on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. This position requires the individual to have experience and knowledge of accounting processes and procedures. The qualified candidate should be detail oriented and capable of handling a high volume of invoices. The qualified candidate should be able to demonstrate technological proficiency as it relates to the position and should also possess a general understanding of accounting principles.
This position requires a steady work habit at all times. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to remain focused on work with multiple interruptions daily. The individual must be able to make sound decisions and exercise judgment and discretion in the best interests of the employer. The individual must be able to interact with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization in a professional, business-like manner, while treating all such individuals with dignity and respect.
In addition, this position can be demanding in terms of time management, knowledge, skills, and commitment to complete tasks daily. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results is routine. Some overtime may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation
- Posts invoices to the company's ERP system in accordance with system and company guidelines
- Request supporting documentation for freight billings from vendors in order to process invoices
- Maintain supporting documentation for freight/shipments
- Pull supporting documentation for freight/shipments as needed
- Assists corporate and branch personnel as necessary
- Performs filing and copying duties as required
- Maintains job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required
- Large ERP system experience preferred
- Experience with Electronic Invoicing preferred
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- General understanding of accounting practices and principles
