Mortuary Transporter

Position: Mortuary Transporter

Description: Responds to 1st calls, Assists funeral directors during scheduled services to ensure customer satisfaction

Location: Beaumont

Hourly Pay Range: $15.00

Schedule Expectations

• Work in shifts of 10 days on, 4 days off
• Works some national holidays
• Normal hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm with 1 hour break, when possible
• Work outside in extreme weather conditions including high and low temperatures and rain
• Some travel for services (day trips in company vehicle)
• On-call minimum of 6 nights per month

• Communicates professionally in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Has a reputation for providing excellent service to clients an co-workers
• Good at multitasking
• Ability to prioritize job demands
• Good problem solving skills
• Work independently and as a team member
• Clear and legible handwriting
• Good knowledge of English Grammar
• Good working knowledge of computers and technology (Microsoft Office, email, mobile devices)
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to sit for extended periods
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull at least 60lbs
• Must be able to bend at the waist and knees

Education/Licensing Requirement

• Valid Texas Driver License

Responsibilities

• Respond to first calls
• Assist with dressing/casketing
• Transport decedent from care center to appropriate location
• Assist on funeral services and gatherings
