Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
Account Receivable ownership
Fixed Asset Management
Inventory control
Accounts Payable support
Bank Coordinator
Monthly and annual tax activities, including excise and property taxes
Process month-end general ledger entries
Reconcile accounts with general ledger to ensure entries are accurate and reported in accordance with accounting standards
Preparate financial statements, schedules, and reports for internal and external parties
Investigate and communicate variances with a focus on identifying root causes
Follow and communicate internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security is maintained
Streamline and improve accounting and finance processes
Perform other duties, as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Understanding of general financial principles, accounting and working knowledge of GAAP, and how to apply these principles
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Exceptional time management and effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow verbal instructions and written procedures
Flexibility, willingness to learn new skills, and ability to work collaboratively
Problem solver; formulate conclusions and recommendations using facts and data
Organized and able to effectively prioritize conflicting tasks/projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
High level of integrity and ethical behavior, as this position handles confidential information and must adhere to established policies
Education and Experience Requirements:
1-3 years of general accounting experience
Associate or Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred
