LBX Company LLC, maker of Link-Belt excavators, forestry, demolition, and scrap/material handling equipment, has an immediate opening for a Pricing and Programming Manager.

Position Summary:

This high visibility strategic role is responsible for developing and implementing wholegoods Pricing and Programming to reach market share and profitability goals. The position develops & owns a rolling 12-month Pricing and Programming plan which is presented to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) twice a year as part of the company’s budgeting process. This role will be responsible for collaborating with Sales & Marketing, IPPS, Supply Chain, and Finance to maximize KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Oversee competitive pricing landscape and capitalize on opportunities.

Essential Functions:

20% - Conduct semiannual pricing review with SLT including:

  • Review profitability by model, segment, & region
  • Review competitive positioning, competitive forces.
  • Review discounting policy, spending, and trends.
  • Propose Pricing and Programming changes, and programing budget for the coming 12 months to meet market share and profitability goals.

20% - Develop & manage sales programs for all wholegoods that provides for sales and market share growth, while also achieving the company’s margin objectives. Including:

  • Creative and original recommendations and development of programs that address the ever-changing market challenges.
  • Oversee program implementation, compliance, and analysis.
  • Review discount requests for compliance.

10% - Develop wholegoods pricing, including special pricing for rental and national accounts.

10% - Collect and maintain competitive intelligence on product, pricing, and promotion to ensure we maintain a competitive position in the marketplace. Manage the creation of pricing surveys to be administered annually as well as at major tradeshows.

10% - Develop & refine wholegoods pricing processes.

5% - Meet regularly with dealers & RMs to review Pricing and Programming for proper alignment and learning from other OEMs.

5% - Negotiate pricing exceptions with Sales Department.

5% - Participate in Platform/Product Steering Committee meetings to represent Pricing and Programming interests.

5% - Act as consultant and liaison to LAR/Brazil for pricing & cost increases.

5% - Track, analyze and report on discretionary discounts by dealer and RM to establish patterns. Understand drivers behind discretionary discounts.

5% - Support LBX Capital and Distribution Development initiatives as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Establish a leadership role within the company and gain support and coordination to enable the successful creation and implementation of marketing plans.
  • Skilled at problem solving, negotiating, and conflict resolution, while maintaining the long-term focus of the company.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field of study (Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or other similar field) required, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with a distribution organization in construction equipment industry or related field.
  • Must be able to interact and work well with others.
  • Experience working in the construction equipment industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills required to effectively analyze market activities and provide valuable insight and direction that will maximize company performance for the long term.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages others and demonstrates leadership throughout entire company.

Travel Requirements:

This role can expect to travel approximately 15% of the time both domestically and internationally, including overnight and potentially weekends.

Working Conditions:

This position requires spending time in a seated position while working at a computer station for extended periods of time. Work also requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, hearing, talking and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
