JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
As a Sr Payroll Support Specialist your primary responsibility is to design, develop, and deliver training programs for individuals involved in the payment processing of providers. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of payment systems, payment methodologies, and compliance requirements within the healthcare industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that payment professionals possess the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully do their job.
This role also involves conducting audits, analyzing data, and implementing data quality audit measures to maintain the integrity of provider compensation data. Your attention to detail, knowledge, audit experience and commitment to data review will contribute to the organization's proactive approach to compensation accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training Program Development:
• Design and develop training programs that cover the end-to-end process of provider payments, including understanding regional compensation policies, payment processes, and compliance regulations.
• Create training materials, process manuals, and multimedia presentations to support learning objectives.
• Along with provider compensation leaders, stay current on changes in contractual compensation changes within the company with particular focus on RVU.
Quality Assurance Audits:
• Plan and execute regular audits of provider compensation set up and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with provider contractual terms.
• Identify control gaps in processes, procedures and systems through in-depth research and assessment and suggested methods for improvement.
• Confirming the design and utilization of the control audit sheets are consistently used and standardized across regional needs to ensure compliance with audit controls.
Delivery of Training:
• Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.
• Educate provider compensation employees on proper use of tools and systems.
• Conduct engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars for provider compensation teams.
• Utilize and create various training methods, including instructor-led training, e-learning, and hands-on exercises to enhance learning outcomes.
Assessment and Evaluation:
• Evaluate progress for assigned trainees, reporting to leadership any concerns or issues.
• Monitor participant workflow and behaviors throughout training process.
• Develop and implement assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
• Provide feedback to trainees and identify areas for improvement, offering additional support as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and assess the evolving needs of provider compensation teams.
• Modify training programs to align with changes in policies, acquisitions and TeamHealth’s ever evolving compensation landscape.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Setup and maintain training documentation for all roles in provider compensation
• Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and performance assessments for manager’s use in team member evaluation.
• Generate reports on training effectiveness and areas for improvement.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Foster effective communication with payment processing teams and provider compensation leaders.
• Collaborate with regional managers for training and audit effectiveness.
